The Boston Red Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays faced off in the first game of their final regular-season series together, and the Red Sox needed this win badly. Nathaniel Lowe was a massive contributor to the 4-1 Red Sox win, batting in two runs in two separate at-bats.

Carlos Narváez doubled to score the other two Red Sox runs, and Aroldis Chapman recorded his 367th career save to tie him with Jeff Reardon for twelfth all-time.

The win allows the Red Sox to maintain their spot in the Wild Card race.
