WATERBURY, Conn. — On Tuesday night, the city of Waterbury held a meeting regarding the Amazon warehouse being built on the city line shared by Naugatuck and Waterbury.

The meeting allowed people who live near the site to voice their concerns and ask questions.

Concerns around the blasting, damages to property, traffic and wetlands were all brought up to Waterbury Mayor Paul Pernerewski and Blue Water, the development company behind the project.

A majority of people spoke about the blasting and the damages they say it is causing to their home and everyday life.

Some questioned whether or not the blasting could be done in smaller sections so the noise isn’t as loud and homes wouldn’t shake as much.

That reportedly cannot be done.
