LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Figuring out how to keep Hall West High open has been an uphill battle.

During Tuesday night's meeting, Little Rock school board leaders said that with less than 400 students and no freshmen class, there won't be a sophomore class next year, reducing enrollment to only 150 students.

Tannella Gauthreaux and Erica Alcala were just two of the many parents in Tuesday night's meeting advocating for their children who both attend Hall High.

"I'm really hopeful in whatever passes because my son needs to graduate," Alcala said.

"It's very disheartening to me to hear that they wanted to close the school so looking at the suggestions they have given me hope," Gauthreaux said.
