GRAND MARAIS, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Cook County School in Grand Marais is asking voters to say yes this fall to upgrades in the district.

The school serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade, about 500 in total. But district leaders say they’ve been struggling to get money for crucial upgrades after last year’s referendum failed by just 2%.

Now, they’re hoping voters will give it another shot this November.

The referendum focuses on updating the performing arts center, outdoor learning environments, and creating a multipurpose physical education space.
