Jimmy Kimmel is back on live television and wastes no time by delivering an intriguing opening monologue. Kimmel's long-running show was taken off the air "indefinitely" following divisive comments he made related to the death of Charlie Kirk, but ABC later reversed their decision.

Kimmel opened his show with a humorous montage of clips of reporters who have been talking about for the past 6 days. While his monologue began comedically, it quickly became very emotional and sentimental. The host teared up as he proceeded to thank all of his colleagues and fans who stood up for him. He even thanks all the conservatives who dislike him for their words of support.
