A McCracken County couple was taken into custody Tuesday morning following a drug investigation on Cairo Road.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said in August, detectives received a complaint alleging illegal drug activity in the 3900 block of Cairo Road. Detectives investigated and subsequently obtained a search warrant for the residence.

During the execution of the warrant on Tuesday, detectives located two individuals inside the home, identified as 41-year-old Jesse J. Bowman and 59-year-old Denise M. Morella.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 43 grams of crystal methamphetamine, multiple bags of synthetic marijuana, and assorted drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
