SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- An undocumented immigrant was arrested at the ConXion nonprofit in San Jose on Tuesday morning, with the incident captured on surveillance camera.
The arrest occurred after immigration officers attempted to detain the man at an immigration check-in facility on Blossom Hill the previous day. His wife was detained and released shortly after the initial attempt.
Rose Amador, CEO of ConXion to Community, described the arrest as jarring and stated, "One of our clients did everything, sat down to eat, and someone in plain clothes said he had a warrant for this person's arrest and said he was a fugitive and took him away."
The couple lives in San Jose with their three children, according to Amador.
