ABERDEEN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Northern Football team finished last season very strong.

They won 5 of their last 6 games and ended up with a winning record after a slow start.

There is no doubt they were really looking forward to this season getting here as quickly as possible. So I asked Mike Schmidt if he thought the momentum could carry over to this season.

Mike Schmidt, Northern Football Coach says, “I’m generally not a big believer in momentum. You hope it’s going to carry over here. I think it’s more so more than momentum, it’s learning. Learning how to win, learning how to play in big games and finish big games in this league.
