All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief and Hyderabad parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday reached Bihar ahead of the Assembly elections likely to field candidates in more than 20 constituencies.

Janab Owaisi, who heads the AIMIM as president, has for several years sought to expand the party’s presence in the Bihar Vidhan Sabha. His primary focus has been highlighting the backwardness of the Seemanchal region, which he has previously attributed to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Janata Dal (United) governments.
