LOGAN – Darryl Yeager, the founder and choreographer of the Odyssey Dance Theatre, never fails to pull a few surprises out of his hat whenever his masterpiece Thriller comes to town.

The debut of the latest version of Thriller and the opening of the ODT’s 2025 season at the Ellen Eccles Theatre here in Logan on Sept. 23 was no exception.

Yes, all the old favorite routines were still in the two hour plus dance review, including Curse of the Mummy, Dem Bones, the Frankenstein Ballet, Jason’s Jam, the Children of the Corn, Salem’s Mass and The Lost Boys. And, of course, what would Thriller be without Thriller?

But this time out Yeager threw his loyal audience a couple of curves, with new material, choreography and some nervous laughs.
