Miami Dade College in Florida has transferred a parcel of land to the state of Florida to house Donald Trump’s future presidential library, The Miami Herald reported Tuesday. The parcel is currently a parking lot and is located next to the campus’s Freedom Tower, a historic building that was used by the federal government to process Cuban refugees in the 1960s and recently underwent a $25 million renovation.
Miami Dade College president Madeline Pumariega told the Herald in an interview that having library on campus would be “historic” for the institution.
