The Chaddi gang, notorious for house burglaries in and around major cities like Hyderabad, has now made its presence felt in Mancherial district, triggering concern among residents.

On Tuesday night, members of the gang struck in two colonies of the town. They stole a mobile phone and Rs. 5,000 in cash from a house in Godavariwada after breaking into another residence near the Integrated District

Offices Complex (IDOC) in Naspur.

The burglars fled when a police patrolling vehicle arrived as they were attempting another break-in in the same locality.

The movement of the gang was captured on CCTV cameras in Naspur. Alarmed residents have urged police to enhance security measures, suspecting that the gang could target colonies on the outskirts of the town in the coming days.
