Malkangiri: With the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting very heavy rain in south Odisha, the Malkangiri district administration has cancelled leaves of all government employees till September 28.

An order has been issued by Malkangiri District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay in this regard. Any deviation from these instructions will invite strict disciplinary action. ADVERTISEMENT

Notably, the IMD has stated that a low-pressure area taking shape in the region may intensify into a deep depression. The system is likely to trigger heavy rain, strong winds, and adverse weather conditions in the district over the next few days.
