The Jaintia National Council (JNC) demanded the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) to convene a special session to adopt a resolution requesting the government for inclusion of the Pnar language in the Meghalaya State Language Act and to bring a special law to safeguard the customs and traditions.
A delegation of the JNC led by its general secretary Wanshwa Suting met the JHADC chief Thombor Shiwat and requested his intervention on the matter.
