She beat her brother to a pilot's license, and now 15-year-old Jennifer Hunt is on a solo mission to be the youngest female to fly around Australia.

"It's really cool to be able to fly before I can drive," she told Bega District News when she landed at Merimbula Airport.

"I've been flying since January this year, and I got my licence in June.

"I wanted to beat my brother in getting a pilot's licence, which I did successfully.

"I'm doing this trip because it's my dream to fly around Australia, and I hope I can inspire other people to follow their dreams as well."

It wasn't the first record Jennifer had secured.

She was placed in the Australian Book of Records as the youngest female pilot in Australia, aged 15 years and 5 months old.
