New Delhi : Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that his country does not need nuclear weapons and won’t be producing them. He however reiterated that the country will not surrender to pressure over uranium enrichment. He also ruled out any discussions with the United States.
Talks with US at ‘dead end’: Khamenei
Khamenei further said that Iran won’t negotiate with the US over its nuclear programme and said that the talks with the country have a “dead end”. He added that talking to the US was not in the interest of Tehran.
The remarks were made by the Supreme Leader during a televised address, right after Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi met several top officials from Germany, France and the United Kingdom and the foreign policy chief of the European Union Kaja
