Work to begin on Md. 77 bridge project

Work is expected to begin Monday on a project to replace and widen a bridge near Rocky Ridge, leading to a closure of a section of Md. 77 for about eight months.

The $7.1 million project will replace the bridge on Md. 77 that runs over Beaver Branch and under the Maryland Midland railroad tracks, widening the bridge and providing drainage improvements, according to a press release from the State Highway Administration.
