Heather McPherson is the member of Parliament for Edmonton-Stratcona.

First elected in 2019, she is now one of only seven NDPers in the House of Commons. She’s touring the country speaking with supporters and is expected to seek the party’s leadership.

This past weekend she was in Niagara Falls on Saturday and then spent Sunday in Penticton with retired MP Richard Cannings who she jokingly called her “work husband” during their time together in Ottawa.

The two met with party faithfuls in the Similkameen-South Okanagan-West Kootenay riding.
