BROCKTON, Mass. —

The search continued Wednesday for the gunman in a shooting in Brockton, Massachusetts, that left one man dead and another injured.

The shooting happened at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Finnegan Park at Crescent and Montello streets. A 40-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds and life-threatening injuries. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Brockton Hospital, where he later died.

The other victim did not have gunshot wounds but was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene in a black Nissan Rogue with an out-of-state registration, Massachusetts State Police said.

The car was later found at the Wessagusset School on North Street in Weymouth.
