THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala is likely to receive heavy rainfall in the coming hours. Following the rain warning, the IMD has issued a yellow alert in two districts- Alappuzha and Ernakulam. These districts are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall. Heavy rain refers to 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rainfall within 24 hours.

Light rain is also likely at isolated places across all districts of Kerala in the next three hours, according to the IMD. A low-pressure area lies over north Odisha, the northwest Bay of Bengal, and Gangetic West Bengal, and may weaken within 12 hours.
