Former India all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin is set to to join Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash league, which would make him the first high-profile cricketer from the country to play in the league. Ashwin had retired from the Indian Premier League (IPL) and stated that he will now be playing in T20 leagues around the world now.
According to Australian outlets Fox Cricket and Code Sports, Ashwin will join Thunder following the conclusion of the UAE’s ILT20 conclusion in early January. Ashwin had earlier committed to the entirety of the ILT20 which ends on January 4, stating that he will entering the auction.
