HOUSTON — Houston just got its very first do-it-yourself Korean-style ramen shop, where customers get to create and cook their own bowls of steaming hot ramen.

Ramen Alley, on Bellaire Boulevard in Houston's Chinatown, features 60 flavors and over 50 toppings to choose from. Build it, add water, pop it into the induction oven and watch the magic happen!

After four minutes, it's time to slurp it down. Owner Stacey Shin says using a spoon is a rookie mistake. Just drink it straight from the bowl.

Shin said the dish always stirs happy memories for her.

"Ramen has always been such a nostalgic thing for me. I grew up eating it, so I wanted to bring that to Chinatown.

Since their soft opening, customers have been flocking to Ramen Alley to check out the Korean street food vibe.
