COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Heartbreak is still being felt across the community following the tragic death of a 3-year-old boy on the southeast side of Columbus, who police said accidentally shot himself.
“I think they were just like devastated and questioning like what is happening, like why’d it happen to this baby," said Arnetta Davis, the leader of a team in the Canal Winchester area which helps families deal with tragedies.
The incident took place in the 6600 block of Kodiak Drive. The boy, identified as Cartier Smith, died at the hospital.
