In a major development just ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has directed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, and their son and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav to appear in person before the court.

The summons has been issued in the “land-for-job” scam case, and the hearing is scheduled for October 13.

The case has cast a fresh shadow on the powerful Yadav family, which has long dominated Bihar politics. The timing, coming just weeks before polls, has heightened political tensions in the state.
