NISSWA — Nisswa's finance specialist, Maggi Wentler, became the city's next interim city administrator.

The council assigned Wentler some of those duties and responsibilities on an interim basis retroactive to Sept. 4, when the former interim administrator left the post.

The action came at the council's regular meeting Tuesday, Sept. 16.

The council also gave Wentler, a city employee since June 2013, a temporary pay differential as she is fulfilling roles of finance specialist, city clerk and interim city administrator.

Rather than search for another interim administrator, the council agreed to keep Wentler in the role until they hire a full-time administrator. Wentler agreed to that as of now.
