Rochester aims to regulate backyard chickens and people living in RVs

RO9CHESTER — Backyard chickens and people living in RVs are two of the top causes of complaint to city code enforcement officers.

At its meeting on Sept. 22, city Planning Board members said they'd like to set some rules around these uses to minimize friction between neighbors.

Planning Director Seth Creighton outlined those and a few other ordinance amendments for the board to consider. He noted decisions on changes can only be made by the City Council, on recommendations from the city planners.
