An animal cruelty investigation was launched after law enforcement in a New York town seized more than 80 domestic and exotic animals from a home — and it's not the first time the homeowner has faced such allegations.
The rare animals were moved to the Animal Nation Rescue in South Salem, Westchester County. Some of the animals had to be treated for neglect after being forced to live in the squalid conditions.

There were 84 animals seized altogether — including three prairie dogs, three hedgehogs, four ferrets, two degus (South American rodents) and many more, according to the rescue's president, Patrick Moore.
