Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual following the alleged abduction of a six-year-old child.

On Sunday, September 21, shortly before 2:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of an allegedly missing child from a residence in downtown New Liskeard. The investigation revealed that the accused had allegedly interacted with a child at the residence, and allegedly the child subsequently accompanied the accused to a local park. A short time later, the child was located unharmed by a concerned citizen and returned to their family.
