ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- A 17-year-old from Ithaca was arrested over the weekend after New York State Police said he fled law enforcement during an investigation in Dryden.
Troopers say deputies with the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at the Ellis Hollow Community Center around 11 p.m. Saturday. During the investigation, the teen left the scene in a car despite commands from officers.
According to NYSP, a trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, but officials say the teen broke several traffic laws, endangering other drivers. The 17-year-old was arrested early Sunday morning at around 12:20 a.m.
The unnamed minor faces misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, unlawful fleeing a motor vehicle in the third degree, resisting arrest, and other traffic violations.
