Walnut Grove Gators Senior Girls volleyball team have added more medals to their collection, winning silver at the 26th Annual Spartan Volleyball Festival that saw 24 teams compete at Langley Events Centre Sept 19-20.
Gators won five of six matches and 10 of 12 sets over the course of the tournament, including victories over EVAA rival GW Graham (2-0) in the quarterfinals, and Provincial powerhouse Earl Marriott (2-0) in the semifinals.
After defeating Lynden Christian from Washington State 2-0 in pool play, Walnut Grove lost to the same team in the finals.
Tournament all-stars were awarded to Gators Kara Strong and Addison Hill.
