PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) - Another wave of 65 men and women from the Mississippi National Guard will replace the 65 guardsmen currently in Washington, D.C.

Training for the replacement mission began Tuesday, as law enforcement professionals arrived at Camp Shelby to teach tactics and prepare the guardsmen headed north for a wide range of scenarios.

“It’s not been too hectic,” said Mississippi National Guard Lt. Ny’sya Hubbard. “This is our first training event that has been a little more busy. I believe this is our first training event of the day.”
