Brits are struggling to get the most out of their social lives, as new research from Magners reveals many aren’t fully present when spending time with friends. 77% say they’re not switched on and ready to socialise by the time they walk in the door.

More than three quarters (79%) wish they could be more in the moment. Almost a third (31%) confess to being distracted by their phones, while 21% say shyness holds them back from connecting properly. 51% want genuine conversations, 47% want laughter, and 39% crave a warm welcome.
