The autumn equinox, considered by some the first day of fall, arrived this week. But Reno’s seasonal activities don’t start in full until Saturday, Sept. 27, when pumpkin patches, corn mazes and haunted houses open across Northern Nevada.

When is the best time to visit corn mazes?

Corn mazes around Reno start opening in late September. Here are options within two hours of the city:

Andelin Family Farm 's corn maze this year is “Jurassic Farm,” featuring a T-Rex design. Admission is $10 online and $12 in person, according to the farm's website . Babies 2 and under are free. The maze at 8100 Pyramid Way in Sparks will be open
