Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting, sparked by calls of a naked man with a knife who allegedly broke into a Beacon Hill business.
Officers responded to reports of a breaking-and-entering on Mount Vernon Street, the address of the 1928 Beacon Hill restaurant, around 6 a.m. There, they encountered a naked man armed with a “large knife” in a rear alley, BPD Superintendent Paul McLaughlin said this morning.
McLaughlin added that three officers responded to the scene, with an officer attempting to use a department-issued Taser to subdue the man, “striking the suspect to no avail.”
