Known for his laid-back demeanor, La'Renzo Murray wouldn't necessarily start a conversation, but he would hold one, according to an obituary for him online. The 22-year-old, born in Muskegon, Michigan, was looked up to by younger kids in his family.

His work ethic was "one to be admired," the obituary noted. He worked for UPS, alongside his mother , who told IndyStar that she didn't want to comment on the recent arrest in his killing .

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our employee," a UPS spokesperson wrote at the time of his August shooting death. "We defer to authorities for any additional information as there is an ongoing investigation."

That investigation led to the arrest of another UPS employee on Sept. 22 on a preliminary murder charge.
