A sniper has shot at least three people being held by US immigration officers at a US detention facility.

The gunman who opened fire on an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas was later found dead from a ‘self-inflicted gunshot wound’ on a rooftop.

Two ICE detainees are feared dead while a third is fighting for life in hospital, according to preliminary reports.

No ICE officers were injured in the shooting, according to the ICE Deputy Director.

Homeland security secretary Kristi Noem posted on X: ‘Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities.

‘The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

‘While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them.
