BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) - The Cleveland Browns have signed tackle Thayer Munford Jr. to the active roster from New England's practice squad.

In a corresponding roster move, the team also placed tackle Dawand Jones on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Munford, who played high school football at Massillon, is in his fourth NFL season out of Ohio State. He was originally selected by Las Vegas in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

He has appeared in 46 career games with 18 starts with the Raiders (2022-24). He spent the 2025 season on the Patriots' practice squad.

Jones appeared in three games this season, making starts at both right and left tackle.

The 2023 fourth-round pick out of Ohio State sustained a knee injury in the first quarter against the Packers.
