Three minors are now safe and seven people have been arrested in connection to a human trafficking investigation in Hartford.

In May, the Hartford Police Department's Special Investigations Unit started working with the Regionalized Human Trafficking Recovery Task force to investigate reports of human trafficking.

During the investigation, police said three female minors were found and safely returned to their families.

According to police, a total of seven suspects were identified as being involved in the crimes. Arrest warrants were granted and approved and as of Tuesday, all seven have been taken into custody.
