Monroe Public Schools' Board of Education renames two schools

MONROE, MI — Cantrick and Hollywood are back.

At Sept. 23’s Monroe Public Schools ' Board of Education meeting, the board approved renaming two of its schools. The board voted 4-3 to change Arborwood South's name to Cantrick. The board voted 7-0 to change Arborwood North's name to Hollywood Elementary.

Arborwood South is for fifth and sixth graders. Arborwood North is for students in Young 5s through fourth grade. Both schools are on Riverview Avenue.
