A 39-year-old Ohsweken man is facing multiple charges after allegedly confining multiple people in a Brantford hotel room.
Brantford police were called around 8:30 a.m. Saturday to the motel at Colborne Street and Clara Crescent after a report of a man holding multiple people against their will in a room, police said in a news release.
Officers arrested a man and a machete was found in the room, police said. No injuries were reported.
Seven other people were found in the room, including a 27-year-old Etobicoke man and a 31-year-old woman from Jackson’s Point, who were arrested on outstanding warrants.
The 39-year-old is charged with two counts of forcible confinement, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, intimidation using violence, two counts of utter threat to cause death
