All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday said that if the NDA retains power in Bihar, someone from the BJP will become the next chief minister, suggesting that Nitish Kumar is witnessing his final days at the helm.
"We will leave no stone unturned and try to ensure that the NDA does not return to power in Bihar. Our apprehension is that if the NDA forms government again, Nitish Kumar will not be chief minister. The BJP will put forward its own chief ministerial candidate," Owaisi said in an exclusive conversation with India Today TV.
Notably, Bihar currently has two deputy chief ministers – Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha – both are from the BJP. However, nothing has been decided on the chief ministerial post by the NDA
