RIVERTON — A Riverton man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years on probation for stabbing his brother during a confrontation about walking a dog.

Dane Bunderson Talbot, 42, was charged in 3rd District Court with aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, a second-degree felony.

On July 24, police responded to 5300 W. 14175 South in Riverton after a teenager said her uncle, Talbot, had stabbed her other uncle. Detectives learned an argument about walking the dog with or without a leash had prompted the stabbing.

The victim told Talbot, "I'll beat the living (expletive) out of ya if one of our dogs gets killed," the charges said. Talbot then went to his room and returned with two throwing knives, police said.
