At least three individuals were shot at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) field office in Dallas , Texas , on Wednesday morning. Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that “ICE law enforcement was not injured,” and that “detainees were among the victims.”

In a preliminary assessment given to CNN , Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons indicated that the shooter was a suspected sniper that had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The status of the victims is not yet known.
