Bond has been set at $1.5 million for a Waterville man charged with murder in the death of woman Tuesday night.
Roscoe C. Gilmore, Jr., 63, a resident of Heritage Village, in the 500 block of the Anthony Wayne Trail, Waterville, used a towel to strangle a woman to death at the facility, according to court records.
The complex is a long-term rehab and skilled nursing facility, according to officials at the scene. According to the Heritage Village website, it is a a 90-bed facility with private and semiprivate rooms. It specializes in behavioral health and dementia populations.
According to court records, the victim also lived at the facility.
When first responders arrived, they found the towel still tied around the victim’s neck “with severe bruising to her face and neck.”
