Tractor-trailers are an unsung but essential part of the U.S. economy.

They’ve been called the backbone of American commercial logistics — and Toledo now plays a larger part in keeping them rolling.

On Sept. 18, Transport Services, an Ohio company that specializes in trailer sales, rentals, and repairs, opened its third location in the state on Jason Street.

“We see a growth opportunity in the Toledo area,” said the company’s president, Adam Therrien. “It’s on its way up. It’s become a larger transportation hub than it ever was before.”

Mr. Therrien said Toledo’s location at the intersection of I-75 and I-80/90 was one of the key considerations in choosing the site for the company’s new facility.
