MOODY, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — Moody Junior High School was briefly placed on a soft lockdown Wednesday morning after school staff intercepted a note containing a threat of violence toward the campus, according to school officials.
Administrators said the note was passed between two students and was quickly turned over to staff. The student accused of making the threat was immediately removed from class, isolated from others, and searched along with their locker and belongings.
The Moody Police Department responded with additional officers to assist the school resource officer and administration. No weapons were found, and officials said at no time were students or staff in danger.
