The Pro Football Hall of Fame has released its list of modern-era players nominated for the 2026 class, and a handful of former Detroit Lions have made the cut.

Among those significant within the Lions community as Pride of the Lions inductees are former receiver Herman Moore, offensive lineman Lomas Brown, and kicker Jason Hanson. Former receiver Anquan Boldin and former kicker David Akers -- who both had brief stints in Detroit -- are also among the 128 nominees announced Tuesday.

Moore, who also had a short stint with the Giants, currently ranks 70th on the NFL’s all-time receiving yards list with 9,174 and 88th in receiving touchdowns with 62. Of his 12 NFL seasons, 11 came with the Lions. Before the arrival and dominance of Calvin Johnson, many regarded Moore as the best receiver
