TOWNSEND, Tenn. (WVLT) - Townsend is hosting its annual Fall Heritage Festival starting Friday, Sept. 26.

The festival is a free community event focused on traditional and contemporary bluegrass and mountain music as well as Appalachian traditions.

Along with live music, attendees can participate in clogging and square dancing, a country fair, craft booths, multiple demonstrations and interactive games.

The event offers a free shuttle which runs from the Heritage Center, Little Arrow Outdoor Resort, Jeep Outpost and other locations. The shuttles run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

The event runs from Friday, Sept. 26 to Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
