FARGO — Members of the Fargo-Moorhead community can pick up free naloxone, a life-saving medication that reverses opioid overdoses.
Fargo Cass Public Health and Clay County Public Health will distribute the medication on Thursday, Sept. 25 as part of the nationwide “Save a Life Day.”
The first event began in 2021 as a small pilot project in West Virginia and has since grown into a national effort, with participation from all 50 states, a FCPH news release said.
Along with the free naloxone delivery, the two public health agencies are using the day to remind people that naloxone is available year-round.
Local year-round distribution sites include:
Fargo Cass Public Health: 1240 25th St. So., Fargo
Clay County Public Health: 715 11th St. No., Moorhead
The medication is also available
