ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a crash that seriously injured a Sandy Springs officer over the weekend.
The officer was hit by a motorcycle on GA-400 northbound near Hammond Drive late Saturday night, according to the Sandy Springs Police Department.
Police said the motorcyclist, identified as Riad Ahmed, lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected.
Ahmed’s motorcycle hit the officer, along with a vehicle involved in an accident the officer was investigating, according to police.
Both Ahmed and the officer were hospitalized with serious injuries.
